Higher Virtue Ministries
"The quality of doing what is right and avoiding that which is wrong."
In early Spring 2005, God gave me a dream. I was ministering to some women in jail with some other ladies. I had been given an opportunity to visit a facility and did not make it. Needless to say that door of opportunity was closed, I missed out. Yet, I still was carrying a heavy burden for this ministry. I called this facility and with much simplicity I shared my heart's desire with the county jailer. There was not any thing open at the time, but he told me to get back with him in a couple weeks, for they had a women's workcamp facility opening up and I would be able to get something worked out there. Needless to say the devil then threw a few curve balls in way of my health. As I recovered and back up on my feet, I called the jailer and Praise the Lord the door of opportuity was open. Well this was great, but I needed a team. I approached Sis. Anita, the Ladies Ministry Leader at church in which she announced to the ladies of this opportunity to team up for this ministry. This is how it began. We were scheduled for Monday Nights. Immediately, Sis. Dena and Sis. Anita was on board, and Sis. Stacey came on board to sing and Sis. Janet (in which she became pregnant and gave birth to a beautiful little girl, and is now fulfilling the roll as a loving Mommy) and a few months later Sis. Mary Jane came on board to cover us and our ministry in prayer.
God has blessed and unified a wonderful team for this Ministry.
We all have been tremendously Blessed in this Ministry, we have helped pray numerous souls through, testimonies have been given of healings in their bodies and of the loved ones, and we have witnessed before our very owns eyes the countenances on their faces transform from a hard rough tough act to a hungry soul for more about Jesus and His Word. These ladies are so hungry for love and encouragement. We have been so blessed to mininster to them about God's love, His encouragement, His forgiveness, His sanctification, the fulfillment of the Holy Ghost and have Communion and foot washing. It has been so awesome to see them begin to grow spiritually developing a relationship with God over religion and religious traditions.
Whom the Son hath set free is free indeed.
Amen
Lisa
